Company Overview: Our client is a dynamic and rapidly growing international trading company, with a global presence and a commitment to excellence. They are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Bunker Trader or Bunker Trading Manager to join their team and lead their expansion in either Monaco or Switzerland.
Position Overview: As a Bunker Trading Manager, you will play a pivotal role in establishing and managing trading operations in either Monaco or Switzerland. The successful candidate will be responsible for back-to-back bunker trading activities, as well as the strategic development of our clients' presence in the region. This includes setting up an office, building a high-performing team, and driving business growth.
- Execute back-to-back bunker trading operations, ensuring optimal pricing, profitability, and risk management.
- Develop and implement trading strategies to capitalize on market trends and opportunities.
- Establish and manage the company's presence in either Monaco or Switzerland, including setting up an office and infrastructure.
- Employ, lead, and mentor a team of traders and support staff to achieve business objectives.
- Foster strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and industry stakeholders to enhance the company's market position.
- Monitor market trends, regulations, and industry developments to stay ahead of the competition.
- Collaborate with internal departments, such as finance, operations, and legal, to ensure smooth business processes.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred. (business, finance, economics, etc.).
- Proven experience in bunker trading, with a strong track record of successful back-to-back transactions.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including building and managing high-performance teams.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Knowledge of the bunker fuel market and relevant regulations.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic trading environment.
- Fluency in English; additional language skills are a plus.
