Our client is seeking a Boarding Agent to join their new Houston office. This is a critical operational role for an experienced professional who can manage tanker visits, ensure smooth port operations, and represent the company as the first point of contact for clients.
�� Key Responsibilities
- Vessel Operations: Manage and coordinate tanker visits in Houston
- Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while identifying opportunities to grow the business.
- Operational Oversight: Ensure all aspects of ship boarding, documentation, and coordination with port authorities run efficiently.
- Office Support: Support the establishment and smooth operation of the Houston office.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with vendors, port authorities, and clients to negotiate operational requirements and contracts.
- Strong experience in maritime agency operations, preferably in tanker services.
- In-depth knowledge of Houston port operations and local industry contacts.
- Proven reliability, flexibility, and professional references demonstrating strong work ethic.
- Ability to develop business opportunities and grow the company’s presence in U.S. ports.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Willingness to work overtime, including nights, weekends, and holidays as operational needs arise
- Prior sailing experience is preferred but not mandatory
