Reporting to: Sales Manager
We are partnering with a global leader in marine coating solutions to hire an Associate Sales Manager in Shah Alam, Selangor. In this role, you will support the Sales Manager in driving growth, strengthening customer relationships, and ensuring the successful promotion and application of marine coatings across vessels and marine structures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Sales Manager in maintaining and growing business with both new and existing customers, while ensuring high customer satisfaction.
- Track vessel coating projects from specification to completion, ensuring timely product delivery, monitoring application quality, and supporting customers during drydocking and newbuild phases.
- Promote a wide range of marine coatings (hull, tank, deck, antifouling, etc.) through visits, presentations, and follow-ups, ensuring products are specified in targeted projects.
- Develop account plans by understanding customer needs and aligning solutions with operational and technical requirements.
- Build relationships with classification societies, consultants, and procurement teams to secure project specifications.
- Monitor customer payments and ensure collections meet agreed credit terms.
- Keep abreast of shipping and coatings industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in any field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of sales experience, preferably within the marine industry.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
