- Prepare monthly financial and management reports, including variance analysis and key insights
- Manage fixed assets accounting and intercompany recharges
- Prepare quarterly GST reconciliations for submission
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of all financial reports, schedules, and workings
- Oversee periodic stock-take and inventory management
- Prepare monthly closing schedules
- Lead monthly and year-end financial close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Manage audit engagements and act as the main point of contact for auditors
- Liaise with auditors, bankers, tax agents, company secretary, and relevant statutory bodies to ensure compliance
- Provide financial and analytical insights to support business decisions
- Review financial reporting processes, accounting policies, and workflows; recommend improvements
- Strengthen internal controls and drive process efficiencies
- Lead cross-functional projects focused on cost savings, profitability, and operational improvements
- Participate in finance system enhancements and implementations aligned with business needs
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience (maritime/shipping industry experience is an advantage)
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and Singapore statutory requirements (GST, audit, compliance)
- Experience managing month-end close and audit processes
- Proficiency in Mandarin and English to liaise with Chinese stakeholders
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently
