Job Description

I am working with an established Yacht Management Company to appoint an exciting new position of Yacht Operations Manager in their Fort Lauderdale office. 

This is a full time office-based role, and you MUST have the right to live and work in the USA, only US Nationals/Green card holders can apply. Must live within a commutable distance to Fort Lauderdale. 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Purchase order reviews and approvals 
  • Shipyard maintenance negotiations and bookings 
  • Contract negotiations 
  • New business development assistance 
  • Vessel set up and hand overs 
  • Liaising with clients, client representatives and internal departments 
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Experience within the superyacht industry
  • Excellent knowledge of ISM/ISPS/ MLC, STCW, MARPOL
  • Excellent decision making skills 
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask
  • Good knowledge of technical vessel operations 
  • A high degree of computer literacy
  • Fluency in English both written and spoken at a high professional level
  • Ability to prioritize and complete time sensitive tasks
  • A high degree of attention to detail, capable of checking/ recording information accurately
  • Self-motivated, able to solve problems and manage their own time
  • Absolute discretion and confidentiality
 Desirable but not essential:
  • Knowledge of MMV 
  • Worked on-board a superyacht, Ideally at Captain level
  • New build and refit shipyard experience
