You are skilled in:
- Technical management and supervision of assigned vessels
- Planning and preparing maintenance and repair work, both onboard and during dry-dock periods
- Ensuring compliance with flag state, classification society, and stakeholder requirements
- Preparing, conducting, and following up on audits and Port State Controls (PSCs), including implementing corrective and preventive actions
- Carrying out regular inspections to ensure vessel safety and operational readiness
- Budgeting and investment planning within your area of responsibility to ensure efficient resource allocation
- Working Smart - promoting digitalisation and participating in technical projects, e.g., energy efficiency initiatives
- Contributing to the development and assurance of quality, safety, and environmental standards
- Actively participating in continuous improvement processes to optimise operational workflows
- Completed studies in marine engineering or a comparable qualification
- At least 3 years of seagoing experience as a Second Engineer or in a higher-ranking engineering role onboard
- Professional experience in technical inspections or shipyards is an advantage
- Strong understanding of ship propulsion systems, machinery, electrical systems, and other onboard technical equipment
- Experience in preventive and corrective maintenance of ship systems to minimise downtime
- Knowledge of international maritime regulations and standards (e.g., SOLAS, MARPOL, ISM Code)
- Strong problem-solving skills and resilience in crisis management
- Ability to prepare clear and precise technical reports and documentation
- Experience in budgeting and cost control for maintenance and repair projects
- Analytical thinking with a proactive mindset toward developing digital solutions
- Confident English skills, both written and spoken, and unrestricted willingness to travel
