This is a remote position based in the UK with some travel. All applicants must posses the Right to Work and Live in the UK.
This is a key shore-based role with responsibility for the safe, efficient and cost-effective technical management of cruise vessels, ensuring compliance with statutory, class and company requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide full technical management of assigned cruise vessels, including performance, maintenance and technical budgets
- Act as the primary shore-based technical contact for vessels during operations, refits and dry-dock periods
- Ensure vessels operate in full compliance with flag, class, statutory and international passenger ship regulations
- Plan, monitor and verify preventative and corrective maintenance to minimise downtime and operational disruption
- Coordinate and supervise ship repairs, refits, dry-dockings and major technical projects
- Manage technical breakdowns by arranging spares, service engineers and repairs in a safe, timely and cost-effective manner
- Monitor vessel technical KPIs, investigate incidents and drive corrective actions and continuous improvement
- Ensure statutory and class surveys are completed for all vessel plant and equipment
- Carry out vessel condition assessments in cooperation with fleet management and shipboard teams
- Liaise with owners, insurers, shipyards, service providers and internal stakeholders as required
- Participate in performance appraisals and technical development of senior onboard engineering personnel
- Contribute to fleet-wide optimisation through collaboration, innovation and knowledge sharing
- Previous experience within the cruise industry, either shore-based and/or onboard
- Shore-based technical experience within any maritime sector, including cruise, passenger vessels or superyachts
- Seagoing engineering experience within any maritime sector, including cruise, passenger vessels or superyachts
- Strong knowledge of marine engineering standards and regulatory compliance
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong organisational, planning and project management capability
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative technical team
- Sailed up to Chief Engineer level (highly desirable)
