Technical Support Engineer

Overview Our client—an established organisation within the water & waste engineering sector—is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to join their Field Services team. This is a key role responsible for delivering high‑quality technical support to customers while helping improve service performance, technical capability, and customer satisfaction.

You’ll work as part of a collaborative, fast‑moving team, supporting service contracts and contributing to the delivery of world‑class technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Support: Provide reliable technical assistance on mechanical or electrical marine‑related systems, both remotely and on-site.
  • Service Delivery: Support the execution of service projects, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency standards are met.
  • Work Package Development: Create and manage service work packages, contributing to increased service sales and stronger customer relationships.
  • Customer Support: Act as a technical point of contact for customers, helping troubleshoot issues and resolve technical queries.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the wider technical and service teams to improve internal processes and deliver continuous improvement.
  • Documentation: Produce accurate reports, service documentation, and technical insights to support decision‑making and after‑sales service.
Skills & Experience Required
  • Education: Professional mechanical and/or electrical marine engineering qualification—or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems used in marine or industrial environments.
  • Problem‑Solving: Ability to diagnose technical issues logically and efficiently.
  • Communication: Clear communicator able to explain technical matters to both customers and colleagues.
  • Teamwork: Comfortable working within a dynamic and collaborative technical team.
Reporting Line You will report directly to the Technical Service Manager.
