Are you ready to take the helm of technical leadership and make a real impact in container vessel operations? We’re looking for an experienced Vessel Manager to oversee assigned vessels, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance at every level.
Your Responsibilities:
- Lead the technical management of assigned vessels, ensuring smooth and safe operations
- Plan and coordinate maintenance and repair work onboard and during dry-docking periods
- Ensure compliance with international regulations, classification societies, and stakeholder requirements
- Prepare, execute, and follow up on audits and Port State Controls, implementing corrective and preventive measures
- Conduct regular inspections to maintain vessel safety and operational readiness
- Manage department budgets and investments for optimal resource allocation
- Drive digitalization initiatives and support technical projects, including energy efficiency improvements
- Maintain and enhance quality, safety, and environmental standards
- Participate actively in continuous improvement processes to optimize operational procedures
- Degree in Marine Engineering or equivalent qualification
- Minimum of 3 years sea service experience as 2nd Engineer or higher, or equivalent technical management experience
- Experience in technical inspections or shipyard projects is a plus
- Strong knowledge of ship propulsion, machinery, electrical systems, and onboard technical equipment
- Proven expertise in preventive and corrective maintenance to reduce downtime
- Familiarity with international maritime regulations and standards (SOLAS, MARPOL, ISM Code)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and resilience in crisis situations
- Ability to produce clear, precise technical reports and documentation
- Experience managing budgets and controlling maintenance and repair costs
- Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to digital and technical solutions
- Fluent English (written and spoken) and full willingness to travel
