This role is instrumental, requiring you to liaise with their head office in Greece and necessitating fluency in Chinese for local engagements, coupled with English proficiency for global communication.
Your Role:
- Process Management: Streamline requisition processing from vessels through our advanced Purchasing system.
- Quality Assurance: Guarantee the meticulous preparation of requisitions, ensuring comprehensive details.
- Supplier Relations: Solicit and evaluate quotes from a diverse pool of suppliers, maintaining exclusivity with contracted partners.
- Strategic Procurement: Scrutinize proposals for optimal product suitability and cost-effectiveness, confirming alternatives with vessels to avert delivery errors.
- Order Execution: Expedite order placements, securing confirmations from suppliers, and overseeing order fulfillment to ensure punctual deliveries.
- Logistics Coordination: Interface with storekeepers and agents to rectify delivery discrepancies.
- Financial Oversight: Manage invoice processing, address financial variances, and oversee supplier claims.
- Budget Management: Supervise cost control during Dry Dock operations and compile comprehensive budget reports.
- Reporting: Curate and maintain Expected Cost/Accrual Reports, fostering consistent communication with vessels and suppliers.
- Additional Duties: Undertake tasks delegated by the Technical Head and Purchasing Manager.
