About the Company
Our client is the world’s leading provider of technical and operational publications for the maritime industry. Working with global industry bodies, producing trusted navigational guidance used by vessels transiting the most complex and high-risk shipping routes.

The Opportunity
As a Technical Advisor, you will join the specialist team responsible for researching, developing, and updating the suite of maritime publications. A large part of your role will be focused on navigation with the ideal candidate being strong users of ECDIS and experience dealing with varied passage plans. You will be based in the Livingston office with a requirement to travel internationally, either visiting vessels, participating in field research, or engaging with key industry partners.

We’re Looking For:
  • OOW or Chief Mate (Unlimited) CoC
  • Strong understanding of voyage planning, navigation, and ECDIS
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • A genuine interest in technical research and marine safety
  • Familiarity with global shipping routes and passage planning
  • Team-oriented, detail-focused, and proactive
  • Tanker and deep-sea experience is desired but we would consider candidates with real interest in deep sea navigation
  • Must have UK working rights
  • Must have UK CoC
