The role involves overseeing subcontracting activities, ensuring their timely and cost-effective execution while meeting project specifications. This includes collaborating closely with internal teams, external vendors, and subcontractors. Responsibilities encompass identifying major subcontracts, creating strategies, and developing a Subcontract Plan in coordination with project management. The role also entails selecting, managing, and monitoring subcontractors, initiating RFPs, conducting commercial bid evaluations, negotiating terms, overseeing delivery, maintaining vendor relationships, managing payments, and ensuring regulatory compliance and adherence to company policies.
Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business, or a related field
- A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in supply chain management (subcontracts), with significant experience in the offshore oil & gas industry
- Relevant experience working on previous T&I offshore construction projects is preferred
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to develop and manage subcontracting plans and budgets
- Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Professional certification in supply chain management, such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) is an advantage
- Experience with offshore subcontracting and vendor management
