Job Description

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join a prestigious Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering design consultancy as Structural Engineer. Faststream have been selected to support them in recruiting market leading talent to join their team in Southampton.

  
The Position
As Structural Engineer you will be providing design and analysis work for assigned projects whilst meeting the relevant technical requirements. This is specifically focusing on the engineering of Yachts. 
  
Essential Criteria
  • Relevant experience in the marine industry
  • Ability to process technical problems
  • Self-motivation and time management to meet targets
  • Ability to produce clear and well-presented drawings
Desirable Criteria 
  • 2D CAD (AutoCAD)
  • 2D/3D CAD (Rhino and NAPA Steel) 
  • Knowledge and understanding of statutory regulations and Classification and Flag rule sets
  • Knowledge and understanding of ship systems design 
  • Knowledge and understanding of ship structural design 
  • Knowledge and understanding of structural analysis
