This position involves servicing and maintaining critical cargo equipment onboard LPG and LNG vessels, working closely with a small team of experienced engineers to deliver high-quality technical support to customers worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform service and repair of deepwell and submerged pumps on LPG and LNG tankers
- Service and maintain cargo compressors and safety relief valves
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues related to gas pumps, safety valves, and cargo compressors
- Carry out maintenance and repair work onboard vessels during voyages or at shipyards during dry-docking
- Ensure all service work is completed to high technical and safety standards
Requirements
- Engineering background in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Automation, or similar disciplines
- Experience in the maritime or marine service industry is advantageous
- Knowledge or exposure to LPG/LNG gas carrier systems will be highly beneficial
- Strong troubleshooting and hands-on mechanical skills
- Good communication skills in English (written and spoken)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in dynamic environments
- Willingness to travel internationally for extended periods
- Familiarity with MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook) for documentation and reporting
