Job Description

A growing international marine engineering company specializing in cargo handling systems for gas carriers is seeking a Service Engineer to support its global service operations.
This position involves servicing and maintaining critical cargo equipment onboard LPG and LNG vessels, working closely with a small team of experienced engineers to deliver high-quality technical support to customers worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform service and repair of deepwell and submerged pumps on LPG and LNG tankers
  • Service and maintain cargo compressors and safety relief valves
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues related to gas pumps, safety valves, and cargo compressors
  • Carry out maintenance and repair work onboard vessels during voyages or at shipyards during dry-docking
  • Ensure all service work is completed to high technical and safety standards
Assignments typically last 1–3 weeks and are conducted by teams of 1–2 service engineers globally.

Requirements
  • Engineering background in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Automation, or similar disciplines
  • Experience in the maritime or marine service industry is advantageous
  • Knowledge or exposure to LPG/LNG gas carrier systems will be highly beneficial
  • Strong troubleshooting and hands-on mechanical skills
  • Good communication skills in English (written and spoken)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in dynamic environments
  • Willingness to travel internationally for extended periods
  • Familiarity with MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook) for documentation and reporting
