Job Description

A growing international marine engineering company specializing in cargo handling systems for gas carriers is seeking a Service Engineer to join its service team.
This role offers the opportunity to work on vessels worldwide, supporting customers with technical service, maintenance, and troubleshooting of cargo handling equipment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform calibration and repair of cargo instrumentation systems, including level gauges, pressure and temperature transmitters, and gas detection/alarm systems on gas carriers
  • Troubleshoot cargo measuring and monitoring equipment onboard vessels
  • Participate in the overhaul of cargo deepwell pumps and safety relief valves together with senior service engineers
  • Support service jobs carried out onboard vessels during voyages or dry-docking
  • Ensure service work is delivered to a high standard of quality and customer satisfaction
Service assignments typically last 1–3 weeks and are conducted by teams of 1–2 service engineers globally.
Requirements
  • Engineering background in Electrical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Automation, or similar disciplines
  • Experience in the maritime or marine service industry is advantageous
  • Knowledge of LPG/LNG gas carriers will be highly beneficial
  • Strong troubleshooting and technical problem-solving abilities
  • Good communication skills in English (written and spoken)
  • Comfortable with international travel and working in dynamic environments
  • Proficient in basic documentation and tools such as MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
