We are looking for a Service Engineer – Navigation to provide technical service and support to our client’s regional and international maritime customers. This position suits a hands-on engineer with proven experience in marine navigation systems, and additional exposure to propulsion control, automation, or steering systems would be highly beneficial.
The role involves a combination of commissioning, customer support, and remote technical assistance, as well as acting as a key backend technical resource for field service operations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver technical service, commissioning, and customer support for the assigned maritime navigation systems.
- Support service operations throughout South-East Asia, while developing and sustaining strong relationships with existing customers.
- Carry out workshop testing and system preparation, ensuring work is completed accurately, efficiently, and in line with required quality and performance standards.
- Produce service and commissioning reports, update technical drawings, maintain the cable information database, and manage all related service documentation.
- Provide remote troubleshooting, guidance, and product support to customers, and contribute to the technical knowledge pool supporting field service engineers.
- Work closely with the sales team, offering technical input and assistance during pre- and post-sales activities.
- Manage pre- and post-job administrative tasks, including documentation and internal reporting.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Diploma or Degree in Electronics, Instrumentation, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Practical experience working with shipboard navigation systems.
- Experience with marine automation and steering systems is an added advantage.
- Previous experience within the maritime industry is preferred.
- Ability to work independently, demonstrating initiative and sound technical judgement.
- Willingness to travel overseas at short notice when required.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to deliver remote technical support effectively.
- Organised, detail-oriented, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team.
