You will take senior-level responsibility for the technical oversight of tanker vessels, ensuring safety, reliability, and cost efficiency across the fleet. The role includes managing complex drydock projects, major repairs, and technical budgeting, while working closely with ship staff, vendors, and internal stakeholders. You will also support superintendent development and contribute to broader fleet technical strategy. Occasional vessel visits are part of the role.
Key Requirements
- Chief Engineer sailing background prior to transitioning ashore
- Extensive experience with tanker vessels (VLCC, crude, chemical, or oil)
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Technical Superintendent
- Strong expertise in drydocking, major repairs, and technical cost control
