Job Description

The Senior Sales Executive (based in Penang, Malaysia) drives business development on strategic accounts, focusing on achieving organizational goals through initiative, competitive drive, and results-oriented execution.
The role reports to the District Sales Manager.
 
Responsibilities and Job Scope  

  • Manage a designated list of Named Accounts in an assigned territory and demonstrate success at closing new logo and new business based on established new logo/new business revenue expectations. Demonstrate extensive knowledge of potential customers and competitors in this area.
  • Participate in the creation of value-added solutions for customers' logistics needs, including supporting diagrams and cost-benefit calculations.
  • Support the transition of new accounts through customer introductions, information transfer, and securing any necessary customer paperwork. When needed, support AR (accounts receivable) collection.
  • Working knowledge of industry trends and forecasts.
 
Qualifications
 
  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Business Studies/Administration/Management, Marketing, Logistics/Transportation, Maritime studies or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years Sales experience in the same industry.
  • The ability to meet with customers off-site on a regular basis.
  • Fluent in supply chain terms and concepts; including diagnosis, process mapping methodology, and decision-making cost drivers.
  • Oral and written proficiency in the English language.
  • Self-motivated with ability to work in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment.
  • Strong rapport and relationship-building focused.
  • Extroverted, confident, enthusiastic and persuasive.
