Job Description

My client is a maritime digital provider whose cloud-based software platform is designed to help customers optimise their fleet operations and provide significant cost reductions.
  
The platform uses advanced analytics, machine learning, and data visualization tools to provide insights into various aspects of a vessel's performance, including fuel consumption, maintenance schedules, and weather conditions. Customers can use the platform to monitor their fleets in real-time, identify inefficiencies, and make data-driven decisions that can improve their bottom line.

In addition, my client offers consulting services to help customers implement and use the platform effectively. They work with a wide range of customers in the maritime industry, including shipowners, charterers, and operators.
  
They are now offering a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Product Manager to join their team and help to continue to deliver these cutting-edge projects. The ideal candidate would be technically qualified with a background in maritime product management, preferably in weather or route optimisation.
  
Duties:
  • Develop the technology roadmap pertinent to the digitalisation and automation of the maritime sector.
  • Collaborating with sales, customer success and technology delivery for solution positioning with clients and supporting the closing of sales opportunities.
  • Drive growth for the business by applying technical and domain expertise to provide thought leadership and translate vision into customer value within the product roadmap.
  • Collate and analyse overall customer and user research or other feedback to improve the effectiveness of client solutions and the platform.
  • Analysis of trends, competitors, and customer scenarios and generate business transformation ideas.
  • Implement, plan, develop and measure the product roadmap with buyers’ journeys so that land & expand happens.
  • Conduct competitive product analysis and market research
  • Gather customer/prospect feedback to measure effectiveness of marketing efforts and predict future market conditions & potential as well as drive Voice of the Customer back into our product roadmaps
  • Assess partnership opportunities including third-party program
  
  
Requirements:
  • Domain expertise in the global shipping market, preferably including vessel operations and performance management, with knowledge in Machine Learning applications
  • Experience of delivering Products and Services by shaping development programmes and facilitating stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
  • Experience of successfully leading, coaching and developing delivery teams, planning, mobilising and delivering technical and business projects and project financial planning and control
