This is a hands on role for someone who thrives on generating business from scratch, building strong client relationships and delivering innovative, cost-effective solutions. What you’ll do:
- Identify, engage and win new business in project logistics and multi-modal supply chain solutions.
- Deliver tailored proposals and negotiate contracts for high value breakbulk, RoRo, sea freight and project cargo.
- Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to project execution, collaborating closely with operations, suppliers and project teams.
- Build long-term relationships with clients, turning opportunities into repeat business and referrals.
- Represent the business at trade shows, exhibitions, and networking events, positioning the company as a solutions leader.
- Keep a pulse on market trends, competitor activity, and industry best practices to drive growth.
- Proven experience: 5+ years in project logistics, freight forwarding, or complex supply chain sales (hunter role).
- Track record of success: Ability to create and grow business from “zero base” opportunities.
- Relationship and negotiation skills: Strong influence at all levels of client organisations.
- Commercial & technical acumen: Knowledge of multi-modal transport, project logistics and freight forwarding, with the ability to deliver innovative solutions.
- Self-starter: Highly motivated, autonomous, and results driven; thrives in a small, collaborative team.
- Travel ready: Comfortable with UK wide travel and occasional international trips.
- Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, engineering, or a related field. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM/ERP systems.
