A leading offshore marine services organisation is seeking an experienced Senior QHSE & Operational Excellence Manager to provide strategic leadership and specialist expertise across a diverse operational fleet.
This senior role is critical in ensuring operations are conducted safely, reliably, and sustainably, while maintaining full regulatory compliance and driving continuous improvement across the business.
The Role Reporting into the senior leadership team, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the organisation’s Quality, Health, Safety, Environmental (QHSE) and Risk Management frameworks. You will act as a trusted advisor to leadership, supporting operational excellence, assurance, and governance across global operations.

Essential Experience & Qualifications:
The Role Reporting into the senior leadership team, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the organisation’s Quality, Health, Safety, Environmental (QHSE) and Risk Management frameworks. You will act as a trusted advisor to leadership, supporting operational excellence, assurance, and governance across global operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the highest QHSE and operational standards across offshore and marine operations.
- Lead and continually improve the integrated Business Management System (BMS).
- Ensure compliance with international maritime and offshore standards, including ISM, ISPS, IMO, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
- Own the risk management framework, ensuring business and operational risks are identified, assessed, and effectively mitigated.
- Develop and implement annual QHSE plans, KPIs, and performance reporting.
- Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis, ensuring lessons learned are embedded across the organisation.
- Manage internal and external audits, assurance, and verification programmes.
- Act as a core member of the Emergency Response Team and oversee emergency preparedness arrangements.
- Provide visible safety leadership through site visits, vessel inspections, and engagement with offshore teams.
- Coach and mentor QHSE personnel, supporting capability development and performance.
- Represent the organisation with clients, suppliers, regulators, and industry bodies.
Essential Experience & Qualifications:
- Proven QHSE leadership experience within marine, ship management, or offshore operations.
- NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) in Occupational Health & Safety.
- Lead Auditor qualification (ISO and ISM standards).
- Strong knowledge of maritime regulatory frameworks and industry best practice.
- Experience managing audits, investigations, and risk management processes.
- Culturally aware, with experience supporting international operations.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
