Our client, a leading organization within the maritime sector, is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Officer to join their dynamic team. The Role
The Quality Assurance Officer will play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing the company’s management systems, ensuring compliance with international standards and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Working closely with the Head of Quality Assurance, this position is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail and a passion for driving quality within the maritime industry.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing, reviewing, and maintaining the Company’s Management System documentation.
  • Support the distribution and control of Management System documents internally and externally.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Quality Assurance to review and implement system improvement suggestions.
  • Coordinate and monitor Drug & Alcohol testing across the fleet.
  • Record, track, and ensure timely resolution of internal and external non-conformities and observations.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and implementation of the Company’s Management System.
  • Support the creation and revision of procedures to align with industry best practices.
  • Promote and foster continuous improvement across all operational areas.
  • Monitor Company Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Objectives & Targets programs.
  • Manage correspondence with vessels regarding Quality Assurance matters.
  • Assist with additional projects or tasks as required by management.
Candidate Profile
  • A university degree and/or a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience within the shipping or maritime industry.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and organizational skills.
  • Solid understanding of maritime operations, industry standards, international rules and regulations, and relevant guidelines.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.
