With a growing portfolio across the UK, they are looking to expand their team to manage the successful delivery of a key project by seeking a highly capable Project Manager.
This role will be based in Holyhead, North Wales. The candidate must be able to commute regularly to this location as they will often be required on-site.
The Role-
The Project Manager will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of a major offshore tidal energy project. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, technical understanding, and project delivery experience to manage all phases of project execution—from fabrication to installation—while ensuring safety, schedule, and budget targets are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans across engineering, procurement, fabrication, and installation phases.
- Coordinate internal teams, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery.
- Manage project budgets, track costs against forecasts, and support the preparation of variation orders and claims.
- Ensure compliance with contractual and commercial terms.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with marine operations, transportation, and offshore construction.
- Lead contingency planning and maintain a strong focus on operational safety.
- Provide regular progress reports and updates to senior management and stakeholders.
- Oversee the use and maintenance of offshore assets including platforms, vessels, and installation equipment.
- Ensure on-site activities in Holyhead and offshore meet project and safety standards.
- Lead and grow a multidisciplinary team of technicians, engineers, and marine operatives.
- Support recruitment and mentoring of project staff.
- Degree or HND in Project Management, Marine Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline—or equivalent experience.
- Proven track record managing large-scale engineering or offshore construction projects.
- Strong understanding of offshore operations, including fabrication, transport, and marine installation.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams, complex schedules, and technical interfaces.
- Experienced in project risk management and commercial contract administration.
- Proficiency with project management tools and methodologies (e.g. MS Project, Primavera, etc.).
