The Role:
Responsibilities to include (in no particular order):
- Management of suppliers particularly for fabrication/machining
- Completing assigned technical & engineering tasks drawing on own skills and knowledge and those of colleagues
- Compiling Project Procedures, Plans and Documentation
- Preparing Technical Reports & papers
- Preparing Risk Assessments
- Estimating costs & preparing budgets
- Compiling Specifications
- Specifying of equipment or components required for projects and orders
- Ordering of equipment or components
- Compiling and maintaining Document / Drawing/ Risk Registers appropriate to assignments
- Working in accordance with Quality and Safety policies and management systems
The ideal candidate will be a degree qualified engineer with industry experience; a background in subsea cable installation and maintenance, or a related industry, and experience of supply chain management is highly desirable.

- Good level of IT competency including Microsoft office suite, confident to develop skills in other software such as SAGE
- Some knowledge of mechanical & electrical assembly
- Driving license
- Willing and medically fit to work offshore for limited periods. Company with fund medical and safety training.

- Knowledge of fabrication methods, machining etc
- Experience using basic CAD packages
- Experience using SAGE or similar procurement software
