Job Description

I'm currently working with a major renewable energy company to recruit for a Project Engineer to manage the safe implementation of SMC policies on offshore wind projects. Responsibilities include planning, mobilising, executing, and demobilising statutory inspection projects, maintaining team performance, and aiding in the design and implementation of engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Equip team members for inspection projects.
  • Manage project tooling, equipment, and consumables.
  • Conduct on-site QHSE audits and mentor technicians.
  • Provide weekly progress reports and implement safe systems of work.
  • Create Written Schemes of Examination (WSE).
  • Support the Project Manager in tooling and solution delivery.
  • Handle general purchasing and manage project records.
  • Ensure quality control and conduct pre/post-project inspections.
Role Requirements:
  • Stay updated on processes, procedures, and regulatory changes.
  • Attend meetings and ensure data and property security.
  • Support departmental initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proficient with MS Office and reporting software.
  • Vocational qualifications in engineering.
  • Knowledge of lifting equipment standards, PSSR, and PUWER.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Understanding of calibration and COSHH regulations.
  • Full UK clean driving licence.
Desirable Skills and Qualifications:
  • LEEA General, maintenance background, crane inspection experience.
  • Experience in offshore wind industry.
  • IOSH Managing Safety.
Must have right to work in the UK.
