My client is a leading ship operator based in Dover who are looking to hire a Procurement Officer.

In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Marine Procurement team. You till development and implement management and sourcing strategies for the marine procurement department. You will work on standardising specifications and vendor selections for fleet personnel.
As part of this role, the company will support you in the CIPS (Chartered Institute of procurement and Supply) qualification for procurement professionals. 

The ideal candidate will have: -
  • Previous experience within Procurement
  • Knowledge of tender processes, execution and negotiation strategies
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Full UK Driving License
  • Hold the exiting right to live and work in the UK
It would be beneficial but not essential to have some awareness of the Marine / Shipping industry
