What the Role Involves:
- Coordinating container vessel calls at Tilbury and surrounding ports.
- Managing day-to-day vessel operations from arrival to departure.
- Acting as the central point of contact for ships, service providers, and port authorities.
- Handling crew changes, shore transport, logistics, and regulatory formalities.
- Overseeing technical services, provisions, waste removal, and bunkering.
- Maintaining accurate operational records and reports.
- Based in Tilbury office 5 days a week.
- Shift rota: occasional evenings (1–2 per week) and 1 weekend in 4.
- Majority of work is desk-based (70–80%), with occasional ship visits.
- Experience in port agency operations or vessel coordination.
- Flexible, proactive, and able to thrive in a busy, changing environment.
- Strong administrative, IT, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while being part of a team.
- UK driver’s license and right to work in the UK.
- Willingness to work variable hours as required by vessel schedules.
