This role will provide the opportunity to make a difference as part of a global and sustainable Classification Society, who are pioneering the safety and performance of new technologies in the maritime industry.
As a Plan Approval Engineer specialising in Machinery and Safety you will be assessing drawings and designs for various vessel types to ensure that they meet the relevant regulations and requirements. As part of your daily work you will encounter machinery and technologies such as piping, propulsion and ballast water management. You will be working closely with clients including shipyards, shipowners and engineering companies.
You should be educated to an MSc or BSc level in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering or alternatively have relevant Nautical qualifications as a Chief or 2nd Engineer. This position is suitable for varying experience levels.
