Opportunity for aPerformance Analyst to join the market leaders in clean marine technology.


Silverstream Technologies has successfully developed and deployed a market-leading clean marine technology solution over the last ten years - The Silverstream® System. Our Air Lubrication System (ALS) fundamentally changes the interaction between water and a vessel's hull, creating a carpet of microbubbles that coats the flat bottom of a vessel. As a result, frictional resistance is reduced - dramatically improving a vessel's fuel consumption and associated emissions.

Role Summary
The Performance Analyst will work as part of the existing team of analysts to develop a clear understanding of the means by which the Silverstream® System delivers savings. The Performance Analyst will work alongside the company’s AI specialist and Data Engineer with activities linked to analysing and processing data received from vessels to inform company stakeholders on historical, current and predicted technology performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gain a full and detailed understanding of experimental works executed to date and the techniques used.

  • Assist in enhancement of Performance Prediction desktop tools.

  • Maintain a clear database of Performance Estimates and utilise the database to ensure consistency.

  • Familiarise yourself with in service data analysis tools.

  • Assist in developing new techniques for capturing, processing, and analysing data and assist in data analysis activities.

  • Develop a clear understanding of the role of the components within the Silverstream® System.

  • Utilise data to keep the Customer Support function informed of any changes in System Performance in service.

  • Aid with the analysis of ALS performance and execution of projects as embodied.


Requirements

  • Degree in engineering, mathematics, statistics or equivalent subject.

  • Ability to code in Python, MatLab, SQL or similar is essential.

  • A basic knowledge of ship resistance, propulsion and hydrodynamics is desirable.

  • Previous experience of using data analysis within an engineering or business context.

  • Willing to travel domestically and overseas occasionally, including onboard to conduct analysis.

  • Desire to reach Chartered Status.
