You’ll be part of a small technical team supporting a fleet of bulk carriers on behalf of the shipowner. The role focuses on oversight rather than daily vessel management, working closely with appointed third-party managers to ensure vessels are operated safely, reliably, and in line with owner expectations. This is a shore-based position offering direct involvement in technical decision-making, exposure across multiple vessels, and the opportunity to influence fleet performance at owner level.
In this role, you will act as the technical link between ownership and external managers. You’ll review vessel performance, inspections, and technical reports, follow up on maintenance, repairs, and compliance matters, and ensure issues are properly addressed. You will consolidate updates from managers, raise concerns where required, and support continuous improvement in safety, reliability, and technical standards across the fleet.
