Job Description

Our client is a a leading global logistics and warehousing provider with a strong footprint in the commodities sector and decades of experience in metals and soft commodities.
 
Key Responsibilities
 
1. Customer and Stakeholder Communication
  • Serve as the main point of contact for customers, carriers, and internal departments.
  • Ensure timely and professional communication via email, phone, and in-person.
  • Resolve queries, provide shipment updates, and maintain strong client relationships.
2. Order Management
  • Accurately process and verify customer orders.
  • Track orders from initiation to fulfilment, proactively managing issues or delays.
  • Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams for timely deliveries.
3. System and Inventory Management
  • Input job orders and stock movements into the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Ensure real-time updates and accuracy of inventory data.
  • Reconcile physical documents with system entries to maintain data integrity.
4. Logistics & Value-Added Services
  • Coordinate additional services such as freight forwarding, customs clearance, and LME/CME-related requests.
  • Liaise with third-party vendors and provide service quotes when required.
5. Invoicing Support
  • Prepare and verify shipping and service records for billing.
  • Cross-check charges against agreed rates and submit documents to the finance team.
6. Cargo Verification & Inspection
  • Perform visual cargo inspections when required.
  • Verify shipment details and report discrepancies or damages promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
7. Vendor Coordination at Warehouse and Port
  • Schedule and oversee activities of third-party vendors at operational sites.
  • Ensure timely and accurate service delivery in line with company procedures.
8. Administrative and Reporting Tasks
  • Maintain organized documentation of customer orders and transactions.
  • Support reporting needs related to inventory, order status, or logistics KPIs.
  • Assist with internal coordination and general administrative tasks.
9. Continuous Support & Adaptability
  • Willingly take on additional duties as reasonably required to support the team and company operations.
Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Min 5 years of relevant experience in operations, logistics, or warehousing.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Working knowledge of WMS platforms is advantageous.
  • Proficient in both English and Chinese to liaise with Chinese-speaking clients and vendors.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure.
