Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily marine operations for container vessels, ensuring compliance with international and local maritime regulations (ISM, MARPOL, SOLAS, etc.).
- Monitor vessel performance, fuel efficiency, voyage planning, and cost control.
- Ensure readiness of vessels through proper certification, audits, safety drills, and maintenance coordination.
- Act as primary liaison with port authorities, P&I clubs, and regulatory bodies.
- Lead investigations into incidents or near misses and drive corrective actions.
- Collaborate with Commercial, Technical, and Crewing teams for seamless operational execution.
- Drive adoption of digital tools to improve fleet performance and monitoring.
- Lead and develop the marine operations team, fostering a strong safety culture.
- Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies, Marine Engineering, Nautical Science, or a related field.
- Certificate of Competency (COC) Class 1 – Master Mariner or Chief Engineer – is preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in marine operations, including both sea-going and shore-based roles.
- Proven leadership capabilities with strong decision-making, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Familiarity with fleet management systems and digital tools is a plus.
- Proficiency in English is essential for effective communication across global teams and regulatory bodies.
