A global company, known for delivering specialized marine engineering and consultancy services worldwide, is looking for a seasoned Naval Architect with a deep understanding of marine engineering principles to join their team in Mumbai.
As a Naval Architect, your role covers analyzing design proposals, assessing equipment features, and spearheading projects in structural integrity, hydrodynamics, and stability. Collaboration with technical staff, contributing to new construction initiatives, and offering sustainability insights are key aspects of your position. You will conduct structural evaluations of external marine assets, execute numerical and manual calculations, and engage with clients and regulatory agencies to meet operational needs. Moreover, you will partner with the Marine Service and MQA teams, mentor junior staff, and oversee various projects to uphold deadlines, budget control, and operational effectiveness.
Key Requirements:
- Qualified Naval Architect experienced in design and plan reviews for new main fleet vessels, with a preference for tankers.
- Demonstrated shipyard expertise in overseeing and supervising new builds, specifically main fleet vessels, ideally tankers.
- Skilled in reviewing Shipbuilding Contracts, Specifications, plan approvals, monthly progress reports, sea trials, shipyard audits, and report preparation.
- Well-versed in the latest sustainability initiatives within the marine industry.
- Presently based in Mumbai.
