Job Description

We are working with a heavy lift, transportation and installation specialist in their search for a Naval Architect. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in mooring analysis, hydrodynamics, and be a confident user of Orcaflex.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage projects related to heavy lift and transportation and installation.
  • Conduct and supervise mooring analysis, hydrodynamic analysis and prepare reports.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and vendors to ensure successful delivery of projects.
  • Ensure all work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Act as a mentor to junior staff members, providing guidance and training as required.
  • Review and approve designs, drawings, and specifications.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Naval Architecture, Ocean Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a relevant role, with a strong background in heavy lift and transportation and installation.
  • Strong technical skills in mooring analysis, hydrodynamics, and Orcaflex software.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
