Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain a strong technical profile, both internally and externally, representing the company’s expertise in the marine sector.
- Take the lead on projects when appropriate, ensuring exceptional quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction.
- Support colleagues and project teams to ensure seamless delivery across disciplines.
- Deliver consultancy services that are both technically excellent and commercially successful, managing budgets, reporting, and profitability.
- Develop and nurture client relationships, personally and through the team, helping to secure a sustainable pipeline of work.
- Collaborate with other managers to optimise resources, share insights, and identify multi-disciplinary opportunities.
- Actively pursue new business opportunities and convert enquiries into confirmed projects.
- Participate in peer reviews to maintain consistency, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Keep up to date with industry developments, emerging technologies, and best practices to enhance services.
- Support training and development within the team, identifying internal and external learning opportunities.
- Engage technical staff in billable work where appropriate to maximise efficiency.
- Holds a Master Mariner qualification with relevant sea-going experience; shore-based consultancy experience is a plus.
- Strong communication, client management, and commercial awareness.
- Confident in leading projects and managing client relationships.
- Collaborative, professional, and committed to delivering high-quality consultancy work.
- Experience across a variety of vessel types is highly desirable.
