My client is a leading offshore vessel operator looking to hire a Marine Technical Assistant in Aberdeen. In this role you will provide technical support to a modern fleet of Offshore Support Vessels - this is a great opportunity for an Engineer looking to transition ashore for the first time.

The successful candidate will act as a technical specialist for the Vessels, focused on marine engineering, planned maintenance and equipment upgrades. You will assist with reviewing and creating technical specifications and support the Superintendents with any issues that arise. You will be involved in analysis of ship performance and implement technical improvements in the ship maintenance systems, as well as contribute to the PMS development, amongst various other duties.

The ideal candidate will have:
  • Chief Engineer or 2nd Engineer Unlimited COC
  • Sailing experience in capacity of Chief, 1st or 2nd Engineer on vessels with DP systems
  • The existing right to live and work in the UK
  • Be based within commuting distance to Aberdeen
You will have the opportunity to work flexibly from home on a Monday and Friday but are required to be office based on the other days.
