I'm looking for a Marine Surveyor (Naval Newbuilding) to join a leading classification societies' team in Glasgow. You’ll play a key role supporting the construction of Type 26 and Type 31 Frigates for the Royal Navy, working closely with shipyards to ensure world-class standards.

What you’ll do:
  • Apply your marine engineering or naval architecture expertise to guide new construction and commissioning processes
  • Work with shipyard teams to deliver projects on time and to spec
  • Identify challenges, research solutions, and share knowledge across the team
  • Ensure compliance with naval ship rules and contractual requirements
  • Support safety strategies through audits, patrols, and risk identification
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Operate strategically, translating technical requirements into practical goals
What I'm looking for:
  • Degree or equivalent in Marine Engineering or Naval Architecture
  • Strong knowledge of structural, mechanical, or electrical marine systems
  • Security clearance is mandatory
  • Ability to apply engineering knowledge to solve complex problems
  • Independent, decisive, and a great team player
