The Marine Surveyor will be responsible for the following activities:
Classification surveys of ships - new construction and ships in service.
Surveying various types of maritime equipment, machinery, and cargo handling equipment.
Surveys and certifications on behalf of public and governmental authorities.
Production of accurate and concise reports.
Training and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering, maritime academy preferred
Practical and theoretical knowledge of hull, machinery, materials, equipment and safety systems of ships.
Working knowledge of computer programs or software packages related to job responsibilities
Previous experience as a surveyor
In return, our client is offering a salary of between $85k and $110k plus benefits.
