Overview: The Marine Superintendent ensures the safe and efficient operation of assigned vessels, providing shore-based support and closely collaborating with the Superintendent Engineer.

Key Responsibilities:
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce company safety, quality, and environmental policies onboard vessels. Ensure compliance with international, federal, state, and port regulations.
- Crew Leadership: Lead and manage vessel crews, emphasizing safety and environmental protection as top priorities.
- Operational Oversight: Address and resolve issues related to crew management, port safety, cargo handling, vessel stability, and performance.
- Regulatory Monitoring: Stay updated on and enforce compliance with relevant regulatory initiatives.
- Maintenance & HSSQE: Oversee vessel maintenance and Health, Safety, Security, Quality, and Environmental (HSSQE) protocols, ensuring proper incident reporting and resolution.
- Liaison Role: Serve as the primary contact for ports, terminals, vetting agencies, and regulatory bodies. Participate in incident investigations and emergency response.
- Voyage Performance: Monitor and verify vessel performance, ensuring alignment with contractual requirements.
- Customer & Commercial Support: Handle commercial issues, customer support, and vetting closures.
- Deck & Maintenance Supervision: Oversee deck maintenance with a focus on safety, cargo handling, and mooring operations.
- Recruit and train Masters and Chief Mates.
- Advise on shipyard repairs and modifications.
- Travel to support ship operations and conduct safety meetings.
- Foster professional relationships with officers and crew.
- Perform other tasks as directed by the Fleet Manager.
