Faststream is working with a leading company in the Tanker industry, committed to delivering safe, efficient, and reliable services. Our client manages a diverse fleet of Tanker vessels, supporting a wide range of marine and energy operations. Our client is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Marine Superintendent to join the team in Hamburg.
  
As a Marine Superintendent, you will play a critical role in overseeing the safe and efficient operation of a fleet of Tanker vessels. You will ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, manage vessel performance, and provide expert guidance to crews. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced maritime professional with a background as a Master on Tanker vessels and at least one year of shore-based experience as a Marine Superintendent.
  
Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with all maritime regulations and company policies.
  • Provide operational support and guidance to vessel Masters and crew.
  • Conduct regular inspections of vessels to ensure they meet safety and operational standards.
  • Coordinate and oversee vessel maintenance, repairs, and dry-docking.
  • Develop and implement safety procedures and best practices.
  • Manage incident investigations and implement corrective actions as required.
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of vessel operations, including mobilization and demobilization.
  • Review and approve vessel documentation, including reports, logs, and certifications.
  • Provide training and development support to crew members.
  
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Must have the right to work in Europe.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Master on Tanker vessels.
  • At least 1 year of shore-based experience as a Marine Superintendent.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of maritime regulations and industry standards.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using marine management software and other relevant tools.
  • Ability to travel as required for vessel inspections and meetings.
