Key Responsibilities:
- USCG Marine Inspections Expertise: Leverage your experience in USCG Marine Inspections to ensure compliance with all relevant rules and regulations.
- Integrated Management System (IMS): Implement and comply with the company's IMS, ensuring all operations meet quality, health, safety, security, environmental, and ethics standards.
- Safety Culture Enhancement: Collaborate with assigned vessels to improve safety culture, addressing near misses, incidents, non-conformities, rest compliance, injuries, illnesses, and security concerns.
- Communication and Coordination: Maintain effective communication between shoreside departments and vessels, ensuring assigned vessels are manned, maintained, equipped, and seaworthy.
- Audit Management: Oversee ISM, MLC, and ISO audits, monitor corrective and preventive actions, and conduct incident investigations as required.
- Training and Development: Provide SSE training for shore departments and ship staff, participate in regulation monitoring, and support fleet departments with classification societies.
- Emergency Response: Act as a key member of the Emergency Response Team (ERT) and be available for worldwide travel.
- Additional Duties: You may be designated as Deputy DPA, CSO, or Deputy CSO, with responsibilities including monitoring ISM, ISPS, MLC, ISO, and flag audits, maintaining contact with Flag administration or RO during casualties, and organizing internal company audits.
- Maritime Industry Experience: Officer experience in the maritime industry is highly desirable.
