The Marine Electronic Engineer will ensure the operational integrity of marine systems through expert installations, repairs, and maintenance. The role includes conducting safety surveys in compliance with SOLAS, Classification societies, and MCA standards. Additionally, the engineer will provide technical advice to clients and support sales initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Efficiency: Work closely with the Principal Engineer and Administrator to optimise the Marine Service Centre's operations.
- Equipment Installation: Install and commission marine equipment on vessels and at customer locations.
- System Maintenance: Perform routine and emergency maintenance on marine systems both on-site and at company facilities.
- Technical Support: Offer expert technical support to clients and internal teams, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Sales Promotion: Actively promote and sell the company's products and services during client interactions.
- Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong client relationships, collaborating with the Principal Engineer and Administrator.
- Compliance Surveys: Conduct surveys and inspections of ship radio communications and navigational systems, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience in a service-oriented industry with a strong background in marine navigation and communication systems.
- HNC/HND or equivalent in Electronics/Electrical engineering.
- Valid driving licence.
