Our client, an established shipping conglomerate in Papua New Guinea, is currently on a look out for a competent Crewing & Marine Operations Manager to base in Papua New Guinea.
To be considered, you need to have at least served as a Chief Officer on oceangoing vessels. A hybrid shore experience and knowledge in crewing and marine operations is a must - these will include but not limited to hands on experience and knowledge in ISM, ISPS, MARPOL, ILO conventions, STCW requirements, ensuring safety across marine operations, compliance to SMS, etc.
You will oversee and be responsible for end to end crew management - from recruitment to retirement. Working closely with the DPA to ensure compliance to current maritime requirements and regulations, as well as conformity with Safety Management System. Review incidents and near-misses, analyze root causes and suggest corrective actions.
