Are you a seasoned maritime professional seeking an exciting opportunity in vessel operations? Our client, a pioneer in LNG marine operations, is actively looking for a Marine Assurance Coordinator to join their team.

This would suit a 2nd Officer, Chief Mate, 1st or 2nd A/E with experience in tanker or gas carrier operations looking to come shore based in Houston.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Conduct ship/shore and ship/ship compatibility studies, ensuring the safety and efficiency of transfer operations.
  • Develop mooring arrangement plans for the owned/operated/controlled fleet.
  • Support continuous improvement of Vetting and Compatibility Processes and Procedures.
  • Manage scheduling of vessel STS equipment positioning, outfitting, testing, assessments, and logistics.
  • Participate in feasibility studies, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies, port authorities, and industry groups to showcase The Client's STS capabilities.
  • Ensure compliance with the SIRE program, industry guidelines, and best practices.
Qualifications: We are looking for individuals with:
  • Professional mariner license as an Engineer, Deck Officer, or Naval Architect.
  • Preferred: Tankerman PIC DL/DG endorsement, LNG experience on board, and STS transfer experience.
  • Desirable: Shore side technical operations experience, vessel inspections, and maritime auditor qualification/experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), AutoCAD, Optimoor, or similar database systems.
