Join us as the Manager, Ship Engineering, overseeing FLNG/FSRU/LNGC Newbuild, Existing Fleet, and Conversion Projects globally. Prioritize safety, implement industry standards, and lead project initiation, planning, execution, and closure.
Essential Duties:
- Ensure safety and uphold the organizations Core Values.
- Implement Health, Safety, Security, Environmental, Quality, and risk mitigation.
- Maintain high industry standards for engineering, technical, operational, and safety aspects.
- Apply expertise in project management, engineering, naval architecture, and marine engineering.
- Support project execution, engineering team management, and assist existing fleet technical management.
- Manage HAZOP, HAZID, FMECA, RAM studies, and Management of Change.
- Oversee project knowledge areas, including integration, scope, schedule, cost, quality, resource, communications, risk, procurement, and stakeholder management.
- Follow the Stage Gate Process, advance skills in project cost management, budget estimation, and financial monitoring.
- Develop Technical Specifications, specify and manage the scope of work for Owner Furnished Equipment.
- Prepare vendor requests for quote, review/approve vendor design, engineering concepts, drawings, and documentation.
- May require less than 20% international travel.
- Prepare resource plans, identify/manage contractors, and supervise project engineering personnel.
- Ensure proper filing of project documentation in collaboration with the Document Control team.
- Support the management of engineering documentation across projects and existing fleet.
Requirements:
- Minimum 4-year recognized bachelor’s degree or equivalent engineering degree.
- 10+ years of project engineering experience in shipbuilding, offshore oil and gas, or major industrial/maritime projects.
- Experience in LNG or FSRU or FLNG related operations an advantage.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer proficiency (MS Office Suite, MS Project/Primavera, AutoCAD a plus).
- PMP Certification or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to work under pressure and coordinate multiple activities and groups effectively.
- Travel: Less than 20%
