Logistics Coordinator - Maritime Operations
  
Location: A hybrid role working in Baltimore

As the central point of communication between vessel crews, customers, terminals, and trade partners, you’ll help orchestrate complex vessel movements while delivering top-tier customer service in a dynamic maritime logistics operation.
  
What responsibilities will I have?
  
Vessel Scheduling & Operations
  • Coordinate and manage schedules for multiple vessels across various U.S. ports
  • Monitor and update proprietary logistics software in real time
  • Liaise with vessel agents, cargo terminals, and trade partners
  • Partner with Operations and Engineering teams to schedule maintenance, inspections, and repairs
Customer & Order Management
  • Accept and process cargo/bunker nominations
  • Track and finalize customer orders through completion
  • Generate delivery schedules and support customer operational goals
  • Verify completed jobs for billing and invoicing
Customer Service & Communication
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers via phone and email
  • Build strong, long-term customer relationships
  • Troubleshoot challenges and provide real-time operational support
Vessel & Crew Support
  • Communicate directly with vessel crews to ensure safe and efficient operations
  • Support crews and operations managers with real-time problem resolution
  • Escalate emergency or incident communications to appropriate stakeholders
Additional Responsibilities
  • Support chartering, customer relations, and marketing initiatives
  • Act as a general point of contact for internal and external partners
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of fleet logistics processes
What qualifications, skills or experience will I need?
  
Education & Experience
  • Associate’s degree required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (Maritime Academy strongly preferred)
  • 1–2 years of logistics experience preferred
  • Maritime or marine operations experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
