This is an office-based role, and you must have the right to live and work in EU to progress through the selection process. No sponsorship is offered as part of the package.
Your main responsibility will be to ensure all business operations are conducted within legal parameters.
Duties:
- Provide proactive legal advice and guidance to various departments.
- Review, draft, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and policies.
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements, corporate standards, and AML procedures.
- Monitor changes in legislation and industry trends, updating procedures as needed.
- Support risk management and maintain legal compliance across the business.
- Delegate tasks and provide training to compliance team members.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Law degree (LLB) from a recognized UK university.
- Qualified solicitor with experience as in-house counsel or equivalent, specialising in corporate law.
- Strong expertise in English corporate law, including Compliance & Regulatory, Contract, Employment, and Dispute Resolution.
- Solid understanding of AML and KYC frameworks and processes.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
- Highly organised, meticulous, and detail-oriented.
- Able to prioritise tasks and work efficiently under pressure.
- Skilled at explaining complex legal issues clearly and providing practical guidance.
- Maintains high ethical standards and professional integrity.
- Strong negotiation and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Dependable, trustworthy, and professional.
- Experience working with UHNWI.
- Knowledge of the superyacht industry is highly desirable.
