As they continue to grow, they are seeking an Intellectual Property and Patents Manager to contribute to their success.
Reporting To: Chief Technical Officer
Location: London / Southampton office including Hybrid Working.
The IP and Patents Manager will play a vital role in shaping and implementing our IP and Patents Strategy as well as leading our efforts to secure our intellectual assets. A key aspect of the role is to assist our team in capturing, understanding and describing their inventions and working closely with our external IP attorneys for any patent filings.
Experience / Qualifications Required:
Essential:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Data Science or related subject.
IP management experience.
Confident in conducting workshops, training courses and presentations.
Ability to understand both technical and legal documents.
A proven track record of handling IP related deadlines.
Familiarity with patent databases, patent searching, and related tools.
Experience in international patent filings and an understanding of global IP regulations.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to understand complex technical concepts, breaking them down to assess their patentability.
Excellent communication skills, enabling you to liaise between scientific teams and legal professionals, and effectively convey intricate IP concepts.
A proactive approach, always on the lookout for potential IP opportunities and risks.
