Experience working with a Luxury product is essential and a high degree of creativity as well as experience working in a new building environment whether this is with a Hotel Opening or a Cruise Ship. 

Qualifications:
  • Sailed as Hotel Director onboard Luxury Cruise Ships. 
  • Experience working in the Middle Eastern Market with Arabic Language skills considered an advantage. 
  • Commercial mindset to look beyond the creativity of hospitality and into the commercials. 
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in Hotel Operations in a managerial position on a cruise ship or ashore.
  • Highly proficient in spoken and written English.
  • Strong leadership, control, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Good knowledge of the hotel and cruise industry and applicable rules and regulations.
  • Profound knowledge of HACCP, US Vessel Sanitation Program, EU-Shipsan, and Marpol regulations.
  • Appropriate level of commercial awareness.
Responsibilities:
  • Establish and lead the hotel ops product delivery department.
  • Undertake designated hotel operational responsibilities assigned by the General Manager.
  • Work closely with the Corporate Chef, Restaurant & Bar Specialist, and Purchasers to ensure operational compliance with Service Level Agreements.
  • Maintain effective cooperation with technical, marine, crewing, and operations departments for overall smooth vessel operation.
  • Uphold overall quality standards for front-of-house equipment and services.
  • Drive constant improvement by creating and communicating SOP’s for the company and clients.
  • Create and review annual hotel operations budgets as per Owner’s financial year guidelines.
  • Ensure overall cost control and take responsibility for financial hotel operations budgets vs. actual costs.
  • Monitor, control, and follow up on budget-related reports, inventory reports, and other required reports as per manuals.
  • Assist in the supervision and completion of health and hygiene tasks on board.
  • Provide hotel operational support to the assigned ship(s) and Owner(s) in case of urgent hotel operational matters.
  • Maintain regular communication and information exchange with the Head of the Hotel Department and periodic inspection of assigned ship(s).
  • Develop departmental hotel operational manuals.
  • Assist in the preparation of contractual agreements with Hotel Services and/or Catering providers.
  • Promote internal awareness for customer and hotel & catering provider requirements throughout the leisure group.
  • Participate in assigned projects.
