An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Hotel Facilities Superintendent to join a leading organisation in the cruise industry. Based in Southampton, this land-based role is responsible for managing the maintenance, refurbishment, and technical quality of hotel areas across a fleet of luxury cruise vessels.

You’ll work closely with shipboard teams, contractors, and owners’ representatives to deliver high-quality refit projects, ensure maintenance standards are met, and uphold exceptional guest experience levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, coordinate, and deliver hotel refit and upgrade projects, from planning and budgeting through to completion.
  • Oversee maintenance activities for hotel systems, including galleys, laundries, and accommodation areas.
  • Liaise with onboard teams, contractors, and shore-based colleagues to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
  • Conduct inspections and audits to maintain compliance with health, safety, and technical standards.
  • Manage budgets for maintenance and capital projects, ensuring cost efficiency and quality.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant regulations, including Public Health, SOLAS, Flag State, and Classification Society requirements.
About You
  • Recognised qualification in marine engineering, naval architecture, or project management.
  • Proven experience in hotel or technical maintenance within the cruise, yacht, or luxury hospitality sector.
  • Strong project management, organisational, and budgeting skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Sound knowledge of SOLAS, Flag State, and Classification Society standards.
  • Proficient in MS Office and confident in preparing technical reports.
  • Proactive, organised, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
